A supernumerary cleric of the Moscow diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archimandrite Kirill (Govorun), stated that, “as far as he knows”, “there was a break” between His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry and deacon Vadim Novinsky, a businessman and one of the patrons of the UOC. He said this on the air of Radio NV.
According to Govorun, in 2011, the late Primate of the UOC, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan), severed relations with businessman Viktor Nusenkis, a patron of the UOC who “looks after the Church”.
“As far as I know, something similar happened in Feofaniya yesterday between Metropolitan Onufry and Vadim Novinsky,” said Govorun.
