Metropolitan Gregory of Cameroon (the Church of Alexandria) stated that all the bishops of Alexandria were happy to support the recognition of the OCU. This is written in another scandalous letter from the hierarch, this time he addressed to Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus (Church of Greece), ekklisiaonline.gr informs.

Before that, the Office for Combating Heresies of the Piraeus Metropolis described the recognition of the OCU by Athens as scandalous.

Also, the head of this diocese, Metropolitan Seraphim, stated that not everyone in the Alexandrian Church really accepted the Phanar`s project in Ukraine.

According to the SFU, the hierarch of the EOC at the same time quoted the Metropolitan of Cameroon himself, who stated that the ROC had entered Africa, among other things, because of the negative attitude of certain metropolitans towards the recognition of the OCU.

The Metropolitan of Cameroon declares that “this is all not true”, “all the bishops of Alexandria recognize the OCU” and demands an apology.

Earlier, Metropolitan Leonid, Patriarchal Exarch of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa, described the message of Metropolitan Gregory as “a lie from the first to the last word.”
