The number of attacks on Serbs and their objects, primarily church ones, in Kosovo is growing, as evidenced by the latest desecration of an Orthodox cemetery, said Petar Petkovic, director of the Chancellery for Kosovo and Metohija under the Serbian government, Sedmitsa reported.
“The statistics, according to which in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija this year, were noted for 50% more incidents on ethnic grounds than a year earlier, of which 20 attacks were on objects of the Serbian Orthodox Church, is striking,” the office of its director quotes.
“In addition, it is worrying that these numbers continue to grow in the absence of an adequate response and protection of the Serb population,” Petkovic said in a statement.
