On December 14, the head of the UOC-KP Filaret Denisenko “ordained” the secretary of the vicariate in the United States and Canada, Bogdan Zgoba, to the “bishop” of Philadelphia, the vicar of the Kiev diocese of the UOC-KP. The video of the event was posted on Filaret’s Facebook page.

During the “consecration” held in the Kiev Vladimir Cathedral, Zgoba was handed over the baton and appointed to manage the parishes of the UOC-KP in the United States.

Recall that on December 13, 2021, during the “bishop’s council” of the restored UOC-KP, it was decided to perform two more “episcopal ordinations” in Kiev. One of them is “hieromonk” Luke Zgoba as “bishop” of Philadelphia.
