Commenting on the statements of Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople that the Orthodox Churches, which have not yet agreed with the act of the Mother Church on Ukrainian autocephaly, will do it for the glory of God, Pravblog writes that his appeal was addressed, first of all, to the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.

“As for his statement about the achievement of church peace in Ukraine, we perfectly see what the actions of the head of the Phanar led to: no reconciliation and unification took place. Instead, violence and discrimination against the canonical UOC was initiated. And the OCU itself split shortly after its creation.

In addition, the methods by which the “OCU” was created and the tomos were issued has nothing to do with the “canonical traditions” referred to by the head of the Phanar. And for this reason, a number of hierarchs of the Bulgarian Church and other Local Churches were criticized.

In this context, Patriarch Bartholomew discredits his own call to the Local Orthodox Churches to recognize the so-called. “OCU”, referring to the goal, which was not realized at all. And the canons, which have been grossly violated, ”writes the Telegram channel.
