Metropolitan Mark (Arndt) of Berlin and German ROCOR forbade the clergy of his diocese to concelebrate with the clergy of the Archdiocese of Western European parishes of the Russian tradition, headed by the Archdiocese administrator, Metropolitan of Dubna John Renneto. As reported by “Credo.Press”, Metropolitan Mark said this on November 25 at a conference in Belgrade dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First All-Diaspora Council of the ROCOR in Sremski Karlovtsy.

Speaking about the main ecclesiastical jurisdictions of the Russian emigration, the head of the German diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia said that only his jurisdiction “renewed contact with the Russian Church,” while the American Metropolis (Orthodox Church in America – OCA, – ed.) “Generally flew away somewhere far away “, and the Western European exarchate with the center in Paris” shattered to smithereens. He called the archdiocese, which is headed by Metropolitan John (Renneto), “completely frivolous, violating the canons at every step.”
