Khilandar Monastery closed to visitors

The Serbian Orthodox monastery of Khilandar on Mount Athos has been closed to visitors due to the growing number of people infected with COVID-19. Writes about this TASS.

“Due to the growing number of coronavirus cases in Khilandar, visits to the monastery are postponed indefinitely.

Earlier, a visit to a Serbian Orthodox monastery was possible only after a negative result of an express test for coronavirus, made in the village of Ouranoupoli, bordering the Autonomous Monastic State of the Holy Mountain. Now, due to the spread of infection in the monastery itself, visits are impossible.
