A new church will be consecrated in the village of Boyanchuk instead of the captured OCU

The church in honor of the Nativity of the Mother of God in the village of Boyanchuk of the Zastavnivsky deanery of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese is being prepared for consecration on October 9, the diocese writes on Facebook.

“By the grace of God and the spiritual and physical deed of the parishioners of the UOC, in 1 year and three months a spiritual pearl of the village was built in the village of Boyanchuk – a new church in honor of the Nativity of the Mother of God. At the moment, an iconostasis has already been installed in the church, internal work has been done.

Parishioners are impatiently awaiting Metropolitan Meletius of Chernivtsi and Bukovina for the consecration of the church on the day of commemoration of the holy Apostle John the Theologian, ”the diocese writes.

The previous temple was captured by the OCU raiders at the end of 2018.
