The Bishop of the Greek Diocese in Tanzania, Agathonikos, who had previously threatened African priests supporting canonical Orthodoxy, has expelled six African abbots from parishes in recent days. ROC priest Andrei Novikov wrote about this on Facebook.

I had in my hands a conversation, as I was presented, of Agafonikos with one of the African priests, hieromonks, who began to commemorate the Moscow Patriarch and appealed to him. The voice on the recording clearly belongs to a Greek bishop calling himself a bishop in Tanzania, demanding submission to Theodore, speaks with an obvious Greek accent, identical to the voice of Agathonikos from the recording of his services and sermons. There can be no doubt, ”the priest writes.

“With the help of lies, filth, politicking, blackmail and threats, the cause of the struggle for the“ canonical territory ”of the Alexandrian Patriarchate, which has fallen into unity with the schism, is being established. It is curious: Agafonikos told each of the priests who were invited separately that the Russians paid others, they didn’t pay you alone. Base, cheap, shameful. All this is monstrous slander about money, ”Novikov added.
