According to my sources, right now the Montenegrin government is trying to persuade the SOC not to enthrone Metropolitan Ioaniky in Cetinje, where the chair of Montenegrin metropolitans has long been located. There is a serious risk that the enthronement will be postponed and carried out in Podgorica.
The new authorities in fact let the provocateurs from the ultra-nationalist movement of “Komits” and Serbophobic activists get away with everything – none of those calling for riots has been arrested so far. Moreover, Krivokapich openly stated that he would not go to Cetinje (as previously announced), because he “promised the ambassadors of the EU countries” (!), And the SOC withdrew invitations to the leaders of the pro-Serbian political forces – all allegedly in order not to “provoke” serbophobic activists. Such is the “gratitude” for the consistent support and defense of the rights of the Serbian Orthodox Church. But Djukanovic has now arrived in Cetinje to actually lead the protests against the SOC, of which he is the inspiration.
Now the city is closed for entry and exit. Groups of journalists cannot leave from there, as well as other film crews – not only from Montenegro, but from Serbia and Republika Srpska. The SOC refused to assist the Serbian journalists and let them board their guarded bus tomorrow to get into the cordoned off city. There are no words.
