The OCU hierarch Ioann Yaremenko wrote on his Facebook page that when he hears about the absence of any theological grounds not to get vaccinated, he gets upset.
“Personally, I declare that I did not want and will not be vaccinated under any circumstances. There is not a single medical argument that would convince me to do this. And while researching this issue, I personally remained convinced that vaccines are nothing more than a medical experiment. I do not agree to put on a single medical experiment on my own free will.
How can we not get vaccinated for the glory of God, someone might ask? Very simple. If you put the threat of death into nothing, and trample on the fear of death, as the confessors did at all times of the Church of Christ. …There are many Christians who do not want to live in fear of dying from the coronavirus. But they do not solve this issue by vaccination. And they achieve freedom from the fear of death by believing in eternal life in God.
When unvaccinated people are accused of posing a threat to others (who the rest are – probably the vaccinated ones), they contradict themselves: if you were vaccinated, then the vaccine should protect you from the severe course of the disease. So why are you afraid? Let the unvaccinated be afraid. Why are you worried. But psychosis and aggressive attitudes against the unvaccinated begin to spread around. Somewhere this situation is very similar to what should happen already during the period of the devil’s seal, described in the revelation, where those who do not accept the seal of antichrist will be criminals. And this is also the theological aspect with the argumentation – it is better to die, but not be vaccinated now, than later, through mental weakness and fear of death, to accept the seal of antichrist.
Even now, with the introduction of these disgusting discriminatory vaccination passports, we, people begin to frantically divide and oppose one another, for no reason. How easily the devil takes us with his bare hands, makes us similar to himself, so that we hate each other. In Western countries, there are massive protests against the compulsion to vaccinate. Soon they will begin to smash establishments, which will be marked: “Entrance only for the vaccinated.” They will be even more exposed as savages, unworthy of social benefits, and made outcasts. So the road to hell is paved because of the supposedly good intentions to preserve the health of citizens. It is scary to imagine what kind of division and mutual opposition will be in the future, if today we so easily fell for this seed,” writes Ioann Yaremenko.
