The head of the Kiev Patriarchate said that he had not yet received any invitation from the authorities to the celebrations, but if they still decide to invite him, he will gladly take part in the celebrations. In any case, Filaret says, he will hold a festive prayer service in his Vladimir Cathedral.
“We will not take part in worship with him (Bartholomew). But not because we do not want, but because he does not invite us to this service. More precisely, it is not Bartholomew who does not invite, but Epiphanius. The meeting does not depend on us, but on Patriarch Bartholomew, if he wants to meet with me as Patriarch of Kiev, I will be very happy. But I doubt that he will have such a desire, ”Filaret told the Telegram channel.
