A Chinese parish of the UGCC headed by a Chinese Jesuit opens in Canada

Metropolitan of Philadelphia Boris Gudzyak at the X special course on missionary service for seminarians in Lviv, said that today the UGCC in different countries requires UGCC priests who will serve our migrants, because about 10 million people have left Ukraine over the past 30 years, reports Religion in Ukraine.

He noted that not only Ukrainians need a missionary word. “Our people are all people of good will. <…> In Canada, for example, a Chinese parish of the UGCC has opened, headed by a Chinese Jesuit and with Chinese parishioners,” said a representative of the UGCC.

“The Lord calls our Church to open up first of all to Eastern Ukraine. Priests are often in need there, ”Gudziak added.
