Volodymyr Maglena, the first priest of the Luhansk region, who decided to go to the OCU and therefore lost his parish, plans to organize a new community in Donbass. He is currently active on social networks, reports Religious Truth.

Also, Volodymyr Maglena does not intend to go into conflict with his previous parish in Vesele.

“The truth of Kiev and the truth of Donbass sometimes differ… You should live here for a year. Hear about their pain, about the tight and close contacts they have with friends and relatives from the Russian Federation. About how much they lost when, after the fall of the Soviet Union, we entered market relations. They live close to the Russian border, they had ties with Russia, and for various reasons, it is still close to many of them.

Try to look at the thirty years of history of Donbass, this borderland, through their eyes and through the prism of their lives… And today I would ask everyone to think about them without disdain, because this is a bad basis for a dialogue which we cannot avoid. Sometimes the villagers come to me secretly… And who will start the conflict now – the Moscow Patriarchate has always been here. I don’t know if I stay in this village, most likely I will leave, but I will live in Donbass. Severodonetsk – Rubizhne – Lisichansk…”, says Volodymyr Maglena.
