OCU supporters seized another UOC church in Kyiv region

On March 13, 2024 in the village of Kotsyubinskoye, Kyiv region, supporters of the OCU seized the local St. George’s Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This is reported by the Telegram channel “Dozor on the First Cossack”.

“A group of raiders from the PCU in military uniforms broke into the St. George’s Church of the UOC in Kotsyubinskogo right during the service. The criminals broke the doors of the shrine. The raiders twisted and pushed the rector out of the temple, throwing the clergyman that “he is no longer the owner here”. The leader of the criminal group told the temple parishioners that “no matter how much they wanted to, no matter how much they screamed,” a OCU cleric would now enter the shrine. The religious community demanded to return their priest to the church, but in vain”, – stated in the message.

It is worth noting that despite the condemnation by European human rights institutions, representatives of the CU continue to seize the temples of the UOC. Earlier we reported that on January 14, 2024, with the support of local deputies and officials, supporters of the OCU seized the Holy Protection Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Chepelevka, Khmelnytskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region.
