The Cherkasy diocese of the UOC reported on the state of health of Metropolitan Theodosius

The Cherkasy diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has reported on the state of health of Metropolitan Theodosiy (Snigiryov) of Cherkasy and Kanev. As a reminder, as a result of the last search conducted by SBU officers, the bishop had a heart attack. According to the diocesan press service, the metropolitan was diagnosed with an acute hypertensive crisis.

“According to the results of emergency measures carried out by doctors, Metropolitan Theodosius was diagnosed with a severe hypertensive crisis combined with an attack of angina pectoris. The hierarch was given the necessary medical assistance. The Metropolitan refused hospitalization, he was prescribed strict bed rest. Now Metropolitan Theodosius is on home treatment, but his life is not threatened”, – the report said.

Recall, earlier we reported that on February 20, 2024, during the judicial investigation of the case of Metropolitan of Cherkasy and Kanev Theodosius (Snigiryov), in Cherkasy city court was interrogated a prosecution witness, whose name is not disclosed. During the interrogation, it was established that the UOC bishop was accused of unwillingness to condemn Russia for conducting military actions against Ukraine.
