On February 22, 2024 in Cherkassy, representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine conducted another search at Metropolitan Theodosy (Snigiryov) of Cherkassy and Kanev. At that time, the bishop had a heart attack. This was reported by the official website of the Cherkasy diocese of the UOC.

“Due to another SBU search, which began from the very morning today, the Divine Liturgy in the house church, Metropolitan Theodosius of Cherkasy and Kanev was disrupted. Vladyka suffered a heart attack. Ambulance doctors are now providing emergency care and are deciding the issue of hospitalization of Vladyka. All believing Orthodox Christians are asked to pray for Metropolitan Theodosy”, – the statement said.
