Ukrainian MP of the Servant of the People party Artyom Dmytruk has expressed his point of view on the adoption in the first reading of draft law No 8371 aimed at banning the activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The MP believes that the adoption of the anti-church law will play into the hands of the Russian president in his justification of the war against Ukraine. About this he stated in his telegram channel.

“First of all, this ban is beneficial to Putin, who will say “I told you that in Ukraine persecute the Orthodox Christians, so I’m protecting them.” And we with this ban only play along with his painful ambitions,” – said Dmytruk.

In addition, the MP drew attention to the fact that today at the front is a significant number of believers of the UOC, who with weapons in their hands are defending Ukraine. “There are many believers of our Church fighting at the front. How will they accept this? The UOC is not an enemy!”, – emphasized Artyom Dmytruk.
