On September 18, 2023, a group of persons with surveying equipment appeared near the Holy Spirit Church of the UOC of the village of Lug in Transcarpathia. This is reported by the First Kazatsky.

For some time they tried to document something. Parishioners of the temple believe that in this way supporters of the OCU are preparing falsification and creation of parallel documents for the land. Meanwhile, the real documents are held by the community of the temple.

“On September 3, activists have already tried to take away the temple from the Orthodox Christians, but already on the spot found out that the documents that they were provided by the head of the Transcarpathian OCU Vasonofiy Rudnik – it’s just a piece of paper. Hundreds of UOC believers came out to defend the shrine. Orthodox Christians then defended the temple”, – stated in the message.

However, it seems that the supporters of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church do not give up hope to take away the church.
