Yelensky and clerics of the OCU discussed the arrangement of Ukrainian “spiritual missions” abroad

On September 7, 2023, the chairman of the State Service of Ukraine with ethno-politics and freedom of conscience Viktor Yelensky met with representatives of the Pilgrimage Center of the OCU, “responsible for the pastoral care of Orthodox Ukrainians who are forced outside of Ukraine”. About it reports the website of the SSEFC.

“During the meeting discussed the issues of spiritual accompaniment of the category of people who especially suffered during the war, the organization of pilgrimages to pilgrimage sites, assistance in settling Ukrainian spiritual missions abroad,” – stated in the message.

Particular attention was paid to “the problems that arise in pastoring Ukrainians who are temporarily in Western and Central-Eastern Europe and seek to join the traditional Ukrainian liturgical practices and worship in the Ukrainian language”.

    3. Церковно-славянский язык – святой и на нём в быту не разговаривают он только для богослужений.
