The head of the Seventh-day Adventists became the new chairman of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches

From September 1, 2023, for the next six-month period, the chairmanship of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations passed to the Seventh-day Adventist Church, headed by Stanislav Nosov, President of the Ukrainian Union Conference of the CASD. This is reported by the website of the Council of Churches.

“According to the Regulations on the AUCCRO, members of the Council preside in turn for a six-month period. The principle of rotation of the chairman of the Council allows maintaining independence and self-government in the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations,” the report says.

It is known that this year, from January 1 to August 31, Vyacheslav Horpinchuk, Bishop of the Ukrainian Lutheran Church, presided over the Council. His term of office lasted longer – for eight months – on the basis of a separate decision of the AUCCRO.
