Lithuania summoned the Vatican ambassador to provide an explanation for the Pope’s words about Russian young people

The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry has summoned the Apostolic Nuncio to the Baltic States to give an explanation for the Pope’s words about Russia and Russian young Catholics. According to Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT, this diplomatic procedure is standard and is carried out for one country to express its displeasure with the actions of another.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Petar Raic for an interview in early September, when he will return from vacation,” said Paulina Levickite, the ministry’s spokeswoman.
