August 27, 2023 in Kiev-Pechersk Lavra was held a concert dedicated to the 950th anniversary of the laying of the Assumption Cathedral. The organizer of the concert was the National Reserve, reports its page on Facebook.

Acting Director General of the Reserve Maksym Ostapenko, who attended the concert, said that “today Lavra restores everything that is connected with Ukrainian meanings, preserving Orthodox traditions, honoring figures, events that developed and preserved the national cultural heritage.”

The concert featured a performance about “the history of restoration and spiritual greatness of the Great Pechersk Church” with the participation of artists of the Dnipro Shevchenko Musical Drama Theater. Also sounded musical works performed by the symphony orchestra and chorus of the theater.

The action was also attended by “Acting Vicar of Lavra” Avrahamiy Lotysh.
