The local authorities of Frankivsk prevented the Orthodox community from holding services in a private home

In the city of Horodenka, Ivano-Frankivsk region, the “vigilant residents” of the city complained to the local authorities that the UOC community was holding services in a private house. The incident was reported on the City Council website.

“The city council immediately reacted by calling law enforcement. The police arrived at the scene and stopped the small gathering,” the website says.

It is known that believers of the UOC prayed in “a private estate, there is no mention of the church in any permits or documents, this building, converted from a private house, is not a religious building.”

“The city council has prepared a corresponding letter to law enforcement agencies to prevent similar situations in the future,” the press service informs.
