In the report of the Bishops’ meeting of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow said that the Patriarchate of Constantinople is one of the instruments of struggle against Orthodoxy.
“The military actions observed today are a consequence of a long civilizational conflict. In the circumstances with which this conflict began, we see an undeniable religious dimension: irrational hatred for the peoples professing Orthodoxy,” the patriarch said.
The hierarch also added that “the Patriarchate of Constantinople has become one of the instruments of struggle against Orthodoxy. Its leading hierarchs for a long time, with the support of political forces outside the Church and at their instigation, have been preparing to break the unity of Orthodoxy, conducting secret negotiations and intrigues,” said the head of the ROC.
