Russia plans to raise the issue of persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on July 26 at a meeting of the UN Security Council. This was announced by the first deputy Russian permanent representative to this organization, Dmitriy Polyansky, the Chryzma Center wrote.
Polyansky said that the actions of the Ukrainian authorities regarding the UOCC leave no doubt that even when people start grabbing on the street or shooting on the spot all those who disagree with the policy of the current government, the UN is unlikely to notice it.
“But we will talk about this in detail at the meeting we requested for July 26,” the Russian deputy prime minister said at a UN Security Council meeting on the situation in Ukraine.
