On June 30, 2023, a letter arrived to the Kievo-Pecherskaya Lavra from the reserve, which informs that by the order of the reserve a commission for the sealing of the buildings was created. In this regard, the Legal Department of the UOC said that as of today, the unilateral termination of the contract is considered in court.

“Now there is no court decision on this matter. Accordingly, the Reserve does not have any legal basis for such actions, and the requirement to vacate the buildings and hand over the keys from them is illegal and should be considered as arbitrariness, “- said in the message.

The UOC legal department urges the Reserve and members of the commission “not to violate the law and to wait for the legal decision of the court.
