On June 28, 2023, in the village of Peregonka of the Yarmolynetsk deanery, a group of unknown persons led by Oksana Onishchuk, a deputy of the Rossoshansk UTC, entered the temple of the UOC in a raider way. According to the press service of the diocese, at about 2 pm they cut the locks and illegally entered the church of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica and took possession of the property of the UOC parish.

The rector of the temple, Priest Aleksey Pisarenko, immediately turned to the police and reported the raider seizure of the temple, which belongs to the religious community of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica of the UOC.
