Today, 27.06.2023, the Kyiv Court of Appeal was to consider appeals of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra vicar’s defenders against the ruling of the Solomenskiy District Court of Kyiv. The lawyer Nikita Chekman wrote about it on his own Telegram channel.

“We inform you that once again the court session was postponed, because the materials of the case, claimed by the Kyiv court of appeal, were not received. We emphasize that ensuring the right to appeal review of the case is one of the foundations of legal proceedings, while the judge of the Solomenskiy District Court of Kyiv Kryvorot A.A. and clerks are trying to prevent the implementation of such right,” the lawyer said.

The lawyers are going to apply to Kyiv Solomenskyi district court in order to find out the reason why the request of Kyiv Court of Appeal was not executed.

“We hope that after this, the case materials will be transferred to ensure the right to appeal review of the case and a fair decision in accordance with the principle of the rule of law,” Nikita Chekman wrote.
