The local authorities in Odesa refused to consider the issue of banning the UOC, since only eight deputies of the Odesa Regional Council voted for it, the source intent.press reports.
As the deputy head of the regional council, Alexander Urbansky, said, “the consideration of this issue is untimely,” and that “religious wars were the bloodiest in the history of mankind.”
It is also noted that only eight deputies from the European Solidarity faction voted to put the issue of banning the UOC on the agenda.
