Parishioners of the Intercession Church of the UOC in the village of Sinyak are praying in a tent in front of the closed gates of their own church, sources in the community told the UOJ.

The Church of the Intercession has been sealed since the beginning of May, when local authorities, led by village headman Vera Marchenko, held a “meeting of the religious community” at the local club while the community itself was at worship. At the “meeting”, the authorities transferred the temple to the OCU and sealed it.

As the parishioners say, there are no people in the village who want to attend the “services” of the OCU, because the temple is simply closed.
