In Sumy, deputies did not consider the issue of transferring the Holy Trinity Cathedral to the OCU

On May 26, the Sumy Regional Council was supposed to consider the transfer of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Sumy to the OCU. It is reported by Suspіlne.

However, the head of the regional council, Viktor Fedorchenko, closed the plenary session of the session, as deputy Vladimir Potseluyev asked for a break for consultations with the faction.

The session was attended by the “archbishop” of the OCU Methodius, who said that “the community is a little crowded in the Resurrection Cathedral.”

“Today, a thousand, 5 thousand people come to the funeral, our heroes die. And the Church of the Resurrection is a museum church, 20 people fit there, and it’s stuffy. The coffins were placed – relatives have nowhere to stay. they are handing over the Trinity Cathedral, which was not handed over to anyone at that time, the rest were all handed over to the Moscow Patriarchate,” the “hierarch” said.

He also added that today the Holy Trinity Cathedral is supposedly not full and that the UOC already has enough temples and cathedrals. Therefore, he called to support his appeal, so that one of the temples today belongs to the OCU.
