The deputies of the Lutsk city council addressed the mayor with a proposal to convene a session and consider the issue of depriving the UOC of the right to use land. Andriy Bilan, deputy of the Lutsk City Council, announced this on his Facebook page.

“The activities of the clerics of this religious institution are aimed at undermining Ukrainian statehood. Evidence of this is the numerous facts of cooperation between the leaders of the UOC (MP) and the Russian occupation authorities. Among the parishioners of the UOC (MP), Russian propaganda theses are circulating that justify the Moscow aggression,” said the chosen one of the community.

Earlier, a deputy of the Lutsk City Council from the faction “Civil Movement “Conscious” Mykhailo Nakhod raised the question of whether to initiate consideration of the issue of deprivation of the right to use the land of the UOC.

“In my opinion, in such a difficult time, when Russia continues its aggression, destroys everything Ukrainian, carries out genocide against the civilian population, and the Russian Orthodox Church blesses such actions, it is simply impossible to bypass such topics,” Nakhod said.

In turn, Andriy Luchik, a deputy of the Lutsk city council, said that, on the one hand, such a decision would be on the verge of a “legal foul”.

“What can I say about this? On the one hand, such a decision would be on the verge of a legal foul. And it can be challenged in the courts. On the other hand, it is necessary to stimulate in every possible way so that the religious community of the UOC (MP) passes into the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Because every hryvnia donated to the Moscow church turns into a Russian bullet that flies at our soldiers. I’m not talking about the propaganda that generously flows from the churches of the Moscow Patriarchate, ”said Luchik.
