The delegation of the UOC received direct access to the UN to testify to the violation of the rights of believers

The delegation of the UOC took part in the events of the 52nd session of the UN Human Rights Council, which is taking place in Geneva. The difficult situation of believers and religious organizations of the UOC requires direct access to international structures authorized to consider cases of human rights violations. Therefore, the believers of the UOC, with the help of international human rights organizations, have found an opportunity to strengthen this work. Currently, the clergy of the UOC have the opportunity to testify directly to the UN about the situation around the religious communities of the UOC. This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

The delegation of the UOC began direct consultations with the UN and other international organizations regarding the expected aggravation of the situation of the UOC due to the threat of unlawful deprivation of the right to use the facilities of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

The work provides for the provision of UN structures and special human rights organizations with evidence and evidence of the problems of believers and religious organizations of the UOC.
