The UOC noted that it is not Christian to select temples and monasteries. The Department for External Church Relations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church commented on the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
“It is bitter and insulting to see how today some Christian denominations, taking advantage of the current situation, have already begun to divide our churches and shrines among themselves both in the capital and in the regions. It doesn’t look good, it’s not Christian. Now is not the time to divide temples. Now is the time to pray hard in them. Christians of different denominations in Ukraine today, in these times of trouble for our people, should not do anything that would hurt and offend each other,” the DECR said.
