In the Vinnitsa region, an unknown person attacked a priest of the Tulchin diocese

On December 7, 2022, a man in military uniform inflicted grievous bodily harm on the priest of the Tulchin diocese, Archpriest Georgy Petrichenko. The attack took place in the village of Chechelnik, Vinnytsia region. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC with reference to the press service of the Tulchin diocese.

Archpriest Georgy Petrichenko bears the obedience of the dean of the Chechelnitsky church district of the Tulchin diocese.

It is noted that Father George was in his car when an unknown person approached the car and started hitting it. When the priest left the salon, the man began to beat the priest in the face and broke the bridge of his nose, while shouting curses.

The cleric of the Tulchin diocese called the police.

“Beatings will be recorded tomorrow,” the diocese reports.
