On December 4, 2022, on Sunday morning, unknown persons tried to arrange a provocation on the territory of the Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra by performing banned songs. This was reported on the website of the monastery, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

It is noted that this incident occurred on Sunday, when thousands of people gathered on the holy Pochaev Hill for a joint prayer, “in order to discredit the world-famous Ukrainian shrine – the Pochaev Lavra.”

The Lavra urged everyone to be careful about such provocations and not react to them.

“We pray to the Most Holy Theotokos to protect us from all evil,” says the address of Metropolitan Vladimir of Pochaev, the abbot of the monastery.
