OCU Speaker “Archbishop” Yevstratiy Zorya commented on the dismissal of Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeev) from the post of head of the DECR ROC and sending him to Budapest.  He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

According to Zorya, it was not a “punishment”.  Metropolitan Hilarion “was taken out of the expected sanctions and restrictions, given the opportunity to stay in the EU for travel and personal meetings.”

Also, the “hierarch” of the OCU believes that “in the event of the expected collapse of the current regime,” the bishop “creates the legend of a“ fighter against aggression ”and“ a victim of Putinism ”.
