On July 4, 2022, the DECR Secretary for Inter-Christian Relations Hieromonk Stefan (Igumnov) met with Bishop of Gibraltar in Europe Robert Innes (the Church of England) at the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.

The meeting was also attended by the rector of the Anglican parish of St. Andrew in Moscow father Malcolm Rogers.
The parties discussed a number of issues related to the current interaction between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Church of England.
