The parish of the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Ivano-Frankivsk unanimously confirmed the loyalty of the UOC at the parish meeting

On June 26, 2022, the faithful of the cathedral, in response to the statement of the mayor of the city R. Martsinkiv about the transition of the community to the OCU, held a parish meeting. The meeting took place after the early and late Divine Liturgies, so that all parishioners attending services at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Ivano-Frankivsk could vote, the website of the Ivano-Frankivsk diocese of the UOC reports.

According to the voting results, the parishioners unanimously testified their loyalty to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, headed by Metropolitan Onufry of Kyiv and All Ukraine.

Not a single representative of the society spoke in favor of switching to another confession. While the decision on further stay in the jurisdiction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was made unanimously, which was confirmed by the signatures of 496 parishioners in the minutes of the meeting, which will be sent to the Ivano-Frankivsk ODA (OVA).
