The transfer of the Crimean dioceses of the UOC to the direct subordination of the ROC is a “temporary phenomenon” and “populist statements”. This was stated by Metropolitan of Nizhyn and Pryluky Kliment (Supper) in an interview with Hromadskom Radio.
“I think this is temporary. These are more populist statements. In time, everything will fall into place.
In the Crimean dioceses, basically all the priests are from western Ukraine, the Zhytomyr region, and the Ternopil region. External factors, of course, affect their lives, but the mood of the clergy is unchanged. I am convinced that these dioceses, as subordinate to the UOC, will continue to be. Everywhere has its own nuances. One must be able to survive in the conditions in which the church was placed,” the hierarch said.
