Metropolitan Mitrofan of Gorlovsky and Slavonic said that the Russian Orthodox Church and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia constantly provide humanitarian assistance to his diocese. A recording of his address to the believers of the diocese was published by Pravblog.
Metropolitan Mitrofan said that in many cities in the war zone, churches and parishes were broken and destroyed. There are three victims in Limany.
He said that the Russian Orthodox Church is providing humanitarian aid to these cities, which he will personally deliver to the parishioners.
He also spoke about the role of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church in the negotiations on Azovstal: “When I went to Mariupol to Azovstal for negotiations in order to take people out of there, these negotiations were also with the participation of the Patriarch, and without him most likely they would not even have begun. This should not be forgotten either. Well, maybe sometime later there will be time to talk about it. And that is why the Patriarch did not abandon us, does not sit idly by, and does not pretend that nothing is happening here. It is not true. And I can’t be silent about it.”
