In the village of Perenyatin, Rivne region, representatives of local authorities sealed the Holy Trinity Church of the UOC “until the inter-confessional issue is resolved in the legal field.” This was reported by the press service of the Rivne diocese of the UOC.

Authorities sealed the temple in the village of Perenyatin because of the clashes that began in the village.

According to eyewitnesses, after the publication of the document, supporters of the OCU gathered near the church, they did not let the believers of the UOC into the temple. The priest of the UOC was threatened with being “cut into pieces and sent to Russia in a suitcase.”

The village headman did not intervene in the situation, partly the onslaught of the raiders of the OCU was held back by law enforcement officers and the district police officer.

The head of the Dubne military administration, Vsevolod Pekarsky, proposed to seal the church until the issue is resolved in the legal plane, since the OCU community is still not present in the state register, and according to official documents, the temple belongs to the religious community of the UOC.
