Primate of the UOC Appoints Temporary Governor of the Ivano-Frankivsk Eparchy

The Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kyiv and All Ukraine appointed Bishop Veniamin (Mezhinsky), vicar of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese, as the temporary administrator of the Ivano-Frankivsk diocese of the UOC.

According to the UOJ, the Decree of the Primate of the UOC was issued on March 9, 2022 due to the illness of Metropolitan Seraphim of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia.

“By Our Decree of March 9, 2022, during the period of illness of His Grace Metropolitan Seraphim of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomyia, you are appointed administrator of the Ivano-Frankivsk diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church,” says the Decree of His Beatitude to Bishop Veniamin.
