Parishioners of the Kimamba village in Tanzania, expelled from the temple, pray in a rented room

On February 13, in the parish of the village of Kimamba (Tanzania), Archpriest Andrei Novikov, together with six Tanzanian clerics of the Russian Orthodox Church, celebrated the Divine Liturgy. Services are temporarily held in a rented building, the community was expelled from its church, writes the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Leonid of Klin in his Telegram channel.

Before the beginning of the service, the priests were presented with priestly crosses, and at the end of the service five were given antimensions of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa of the Russian Orthodox Church. As a gift, the Eucharistic set and other items for the celebration of worship were donated.

About 80 people attended the service. The sermon was delivered in English, with a translation into Swahili.

At the end of the service, at the request of the parishioners of the temple, Archpriest Andrei Novikov performed the sacrament of the Baptism of the babies Gabriel and Christina.

Then a pastoral meeting of the clergy was held. A festive dinner was held for all parishioners.
