In the village of Zacherneche, Volyn region, local adherents of the OCU are preparing provocations. This was told by the sources of the “First Cossack” from the scene.

The Orthodox community of Zachernechye visits the ancient St. Michael’s Church. It is this church that can become the next target of the raiders of the Epiphanius structure. Up to this point, very few adherents of the OCU did not even try to go for provocations. The situation changed when, in the fall of 2021, a new “cleric” of the OCU, Bogdan Zdrok, was appointed to the position of the head of the OCU cell in Zacherneche, journalists say.

For the “cleric” of the OCU, a room was allocated in the building of the village council, where he lives. There was also organized a place for the rites of the OCU. According to journalists, all this was lobbied by Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Guz. He is known for his hostile attitude towards the Orthodox Church, personally supported the OCU raiders in the village of Susval and the law on the forced renaming of the UOC.

The local leadership of the OCU wants to raise the issue of “alternate worship” in St. Michael’s Church. On January 30, representatives of the OCU, led by their “dean”, were to gather in Zacherneche to discuss this issue.

The local community of the canonical Church suspects that Epiphany’s supporters are preparing provocations in the village, followed by an attempt to seize the temple.
