The body found on the beach of the Greek island of Skopelos belongs to the 58-year-old Athos monk Euphrosynus. The deceased was handed over to the military medical service, where his brother identified him, Pravlife writes.
Most likely, the man was a resident of the cell of St. Isaac in the Hilandar monastery on Mount Athos, since the brethren of this particular monastery announced his disappearance.
As previously reported, on December 20, 2021, an Athos monk went fishing in Singitiko Bay and the Athonite monk went missing, about which the monastery authorities notified the police and coast guard. Two days later, an empty boat belonging to him was found in the port of Daphne.
