The Archimandrite of the Church of Greece, who denounced Patriarch Bartholomew, died

Archimandrite Chrysostomos (Pihos), abbot of the monastery of the Life-giving Spring of Langovardas (Paros, Greece), has died, reports the Telegram channel “Chrism Center“.

The death occurred in a hospital in Athens after a long illness.

“Archimandrite Chrysostomos was one of the authoritative modern Greek confessors, the organizer of monastic life. In 2017, he presented to the Holy Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church a report on the heresies preached by Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople.

In 2019, Archimandrite Chrysostomos signed an appeal of Greek clergy and laity against the recognition of Ukrainian schismatics,” the authors of the message recalled.

As previously reported, the hierarch of the Alexandrian Church, who did not support the recognition of the OCU by Patriarch Theodore, had died.
