Metropolitan Hilarion meets with the Primate of the Jerusalem Orthodox Church

On August 5, 2021, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, made a working trip to Jordan, the DECR website reports.

In the capital of the country, Amman, Metropolitan Hilarion met with His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of the Holy City of Jerusalem and all Palestine. The DECR Chairman conveyed warm greetings from the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church to His Beatitude. The conversation touched upon a number of topics of mutual interest, including the global situation in connection with the coronavirus pandemic and the related anti-epidemic restrictions affecting the normal course of church life.
