Believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church are called to show an active church position and preserve the purity of Orthodoxy, said the Head of the Representation of the UOC to European international organizations, Bishop Viktor (Kotsaba) of Baryshevsky.
“Every person is called to have an active church position. And we know that in different periods of our Church, believers united in order to protect and preserve the purity of faith. We remember that on the border of the 16th-17th centuries, Orthodox brotherhoods were organized on our lands, which defended the purity of our faith and passed it on to future generations, ”Vladyka emphasized.
He recalled that today believers unite in defense of their Church, which is going through difficult times, testifying to the faith.
Earlier, Bishop Victor said that it is high time for the “Ukrainian church problem” to be taken out of context by the “confrontation” between the Russian and Constantinople Churches, where the supporters of the actions of Patriarch Bartholomew are trying to place it.
